We are seeking volunteer panel members

Do you live in the Bradwell and Tillingham areas and would you like to make a difference in your local community? If so, Essex Community Foundation (ECF) is seeking volunteers to join a panel of local people to consider grant applications from voluntary and community organisations in Bradwell-on-Sea and Tillingham.

Bradwell Wind Farm Community Fund was set up in 2013 by RWE npower renewables for the life of the wind farm, to support community projects and activities with grants of up to £10,000.

The Fund is administered by ECF, an independent charitable trust. Grant applications meeting the criteria of the Fund, are assessed by ECF and presented to a panel of local people for consideration.

To date, the Fund has awarded 28 grants totalling £122,163 to support a wide range of community projects, including the expansion of an advice outreach and home visiting services to the two villages, improving cricket facilities, setting up of an under 8's football team and supporting local scouts and guides.

ECF would like to increase the number of people on the panel and is seeking one representative from Tillingham and one from Bradwell. The panel meets twice a year at St Cedd’s School Bradwell, usually in May and again in November from 5.30pm to 7.00pm.
