Essex Community Foundation
"It would have made Bee very happy to know that a Fund in her name was giving young people opportunities to realise their full potential."

Individuals and families

Many people give because they want to “put something back” into the community in which they live and work. Some will make a long term commitment, some a one-off donation, and some may want to explore regular tax efficient ways of supporting the causes that mean the most to them. Here’s how ECF can help:

Making a one-off donation

Using our Acorn Fund allows you to support local voluntary and community activities.  The Fund was established to make sure that we can respond to the growing needs of our local communities.  Your donation joins others to provide much needed funding, year on year, to local charities.  This is sustainable giving, where your help ensures that the needs of communities are met today and for years to come.

Giving on a regular or long term basis

Some individuals and families want to adopt a more philanthropic long term approach to their charitable giving.  We offer a tailor made service, whatever your area of interest or level of giving.  Giving in this way allows you to have an identified charitable fund whilst ECF takes care of the administration for you.

Setting up a Named Fund

If you have a minimum of £25,000 to give, you might like to set up an endowed Named Fund. ECF will administer the fund on your behalf and you have the satisfaction of knowing that you are giving in a strategic way.  You can make a single donation or regular donations over time.  With an endowed Named Fund you can:

Transferring an Existing Charitable Fund

You can transfer an existing charitable fund into the ECF portfolio, whereby we take on the day to day administration and compliance with the Charity Commission.  You do not need to give up involvement – unless you wish to do so – as we are happy to work closely with you and your trustees to ensure that your objectives are met, now and into the future.
