Application guidelines

Funds inviting applications

We are currently inviting applications to the following funds:

General Programme ECF can support many aspects of your work including: running costs, salary costs, capital equipment or specific project costs. These funds are available throughout the year, there are no deadlines so you can apply at any time. Our general funds can support one off or continuing work and you can apply up to £10,000 (over one year) by using the online application form.

Colne Community Builders Fund supports charitable projects and community organisations whose work enables people to live more independently. There is a preference for smaller grants, for example under £5,000, and for groups that work in areas where Colne Housing operates - Babergh, Braintree, Chelmsford, Colchester, Maldon, Tendring and Uttlesford. The deadline for this application is 11 August. To discuss your work in advance of applying, please call the ECF grants team. 

The Braintree District and Greenfields Community Fund provides voluntary and community organisations with the opportunity to apply for funding of up to £40,000 (distributed over a time period of up to three years) to support projects which help to either improve health and wellbeing, increase aspirations and opportunities of young people or develop skills through training. The deadline for this application is 31 August. To read the specific criteria for this Fund and to apply, click here

Healthwatch Essex Fund supports voluntary groups and local charities working to improve information, advice and guidance in health and social care. There are two levels of grants - small grants of up to £10,000 and larger grants of up to £35,000. The deadline date for applications is 22 September. To read the specific criteria for this Fund and to apply, click here

Youth Social Action Fund supports voluntary and community organisations in Harlow who offer activities which seek to engage young people in their community and increase their learning and understanding of local issues. Applications are accepted throughout the year. This Fund has specific criteria and its own application form which can be found here.
