Essex Community Foundation

#iwill Fund

What is the #iwill Fund?

The #iwill Fund is a joint £40 million investment from the Department for Digital, Culture, Media and Sport and The National Lottery Community Fund.

The UK-wide campaign’s goal is to make social action part of life for as many 10 to 20-year-olds, or up to 25 for disabled young people, as possible by the year 2020.

Essex Community Foundation manages the distribution of grants to charities and voluntary organsations in the county and the Office of the Police, Fire and Crime Commissioner for Essex have provided match-funding.

What can it support?

Grants will be between £1,000 and £5,000.

Activities which provide young people with the opportunity to build skills, grow their confidence and contribute to their community. This could include, but is not limited to, campaigning, fundraising or volunteering.

Applications to the #iwill Fund are open to registered charities, constituted community groups and CICs limited by guarantee in Essex that provide social action opportunities for young people.

National organisations with local branches and new organisations can also apply.

We can fund staff costs, development and capacity building costs, volunteer costs and activity costs. More information is in the below criteria.
