"This is a great resource for the voluntary sector in Essex as it builds on the energy of the partnership and gives organisations the opportunity to explore ideas and solutions to strengthen their communities.”Caroline Taylor, ECF chief executive
The Community Resilience Fund (CRF) is an innovative grants programme aimed at strengthening local communities.
Grants awarded from the fund are to help the voluntary and community sector to grow and develop.
It was first launched in 2014 with a £1 million donation from Essex County Council (ECC), with further financial support from Essex Police and Essex County Fire & Rescue Service.
We do not want to be too prescriptive in setting criteria; rather this funding programme is an opportunity for your organisation to set your own agenda and address some of the issues and barriers that may affect your community.
There is not a minimum or maximum amount to apply for, however the CRF is not intended to be a small grants programme.
Funding can be awarded for either new projects or development of existing projects.
