The Country Food Trust received %u00a34,706 from four of our funds %u2013 the Alan and Fay Cherry Fund, Chelmsford Star Co-op Community Fund, Jerome Booth Charitable Fund and Minter Family Fund. This enabled them to run a food discovery programme for year three pupils at a school in Basildon, where they learned about all aspects of unprocessed food, including growing vegetables, safely preparing and cooking meals, tasting produce, running their own playground markets, and experiencing the excitement of sharing a climatic harvest feast with the rest of the school and their families.
