Caroline Taylor

Chief Executive

Caroline was appointed Chief Executive in January 2016 and is responsible for the day to day management, growth and development of the Foundation. Caroline holds a master’s degree in Philanthropy, Social Investment and Grantmaking from Cass Business School and a bachelor’s degree in Communications. She has worked with ECF since 2004, latterly as Deputy Chief Executive.

Zoe Brampton

Grants Officer

Zoe helps to deliver on all aspects of the Foundation's grantmaking, including advising potential funding applicants, assessing applications and preparing information for consideration by our fundholders.

Catherine Burton

Head of Finance

Catherine is responsible for the day to day management of financial activity and is the main point of contact for our Investment Managers. She prepares for the annual audit, ECF’s financial statements and supports our Finance and Investment Committee.

Kate Cornish

Marketing and Communications Officer

Kate joined ECF in October 2016 having previously worked for a top PR agency in London. She works on all aspects of ECF's promotion, marketing materials, press coverage and events to raise the profile of our work across the county.

Jill Curd

Grants Officer

Jill’s experience of working within the voluntary sector for many years has greatly benefited ECF in her role as grants officer. Jill assesses grant applications and oversees funding programmes.

Lisa Green

Grants and Programmes Administrator

Lisa has a strong administrative background and supports the grants team in processing applications and managing the Foundation's grant data.

Tracy Hardy

Fund Administrator

Tracy worked in credit control before taking a career break to bring up her family. She has re-trained and is now working with Catherine Burton, Head of Finance. Tracy is responsible for managing ECF’s financial activities.

Jo Macaulay

Head of Communications

Jo is responsible for ensuring that all aspects of ECF’s work are effectively communicated to a wide audience, across different media. She works directly with our fundholders and grant recipients to publicise their work across the County and produces our annual review and manages all of the Foundation’s events.

Steven Mackenzie

Development and Operations Manager

Steve works with the team to identify new opportunities and relationships for ECF and provides a professional, bespoke service to our fundholders. He has effectively developed our ICT systems and has supported the national development of a central, online database for community foundations.

Perry Norton

Head of Development

Perry is responsible for introducing the Foundation’s work to a wide audience of individuals, companies and professional advisers. He joined ECF from the Lord’s Taverners, the London-based youth cricket and disability sports charity, where he headed up the Corporate Fundraising team for 5 years. Before this, Perry was Business Development Manager at Essex Cricket.

Andy Payne Warpole

Head of Programmes

Andy Payne Worpole, Head of Programmes - Andy joined the Foundation in July 2020 and brings over 20 years of public service experience, as a mental health practitioner, programme manager in the charitable, social care and health sectors, as well as leading on community engagement at a national level. He is responsible for the Foundation's grantmaking and programmes working with the voluntary and community sector and helping our donors to make the greatest impact.

Ellie Menown

Grants Officer

As a member of our grants team, Ellie is involved in all aspects of the Foundation's grant making, including the promotion of grant programmes, advising funding applicants, assessing applications and preparing information for consideration by our fundholders.

Fran Wright

Programmes Officer

Having worked at ECF since 2010, Fran has an in-depth understanding of local social issues and works with third sector organisations and our donors, helping to identify, develop and deliver grant making programmes.
