Foundation Hub
We’ve created an open-plan working space, with meeting rooms, breakout spaces and an area for coffee and lunch for our grant partners, past and current, who are based in Essex, Southend and Thurrock.
Our offices are a generous and thoughtful gift from a local philanthropic family who want to support all aspects of our work. In gifting this space for use by us and our grant partners we can extend our giving in a new way. Therefore, we are pleased to offer the use of Foundation Hub for staff meetings or training, and hot desking. Unfortunately, we are not able to host meetings with beneficiaries.
Foundation Hub provides a fully accessible workspace including; Wi-Fi, air conditioning/heating and tea and coffee and is available during the working day: Monday – Friday 9 am to 4:30 pm.
We hope it will be a place where you can enjoy working by yourself or with your team alongside others.
Foundation Hub is conveniently located in Chelmsford city centre with excellent transport links to Chelmsford Train and bus stations, we also have some bookable parking spaces available. What is the Cost?
Our Foundation Hub is free to use by our grant partners. However, donations are always welcome.

How to book:
Please email hub@essexcf.org.uk for all booking enquiries. You will be sent a link, within 24 hours, to our online booking system and all the information you need about using Foundation Hub. Once you are registered on the system and have read our Foundation Hub Guidance, you can book spaces whenever you need.

Welcome Space
A comfortable informal seating area included within the main entrance space. Suitable for shorter, informal meetings that do not require confidentiality.
Capacity 4.
Shirley Room
A large room on the ground floor with natural light, suitable for team meetings, board meetings, away days and training events.

Tolhurst Room
A smaller meeting room, perfect for shorter meetings for up to 4 people or for a private phone call or virtual meeting.

Fisher Workspace
If you’d like some company during the working day, want a Chelmsford base for a day or two, or just need some time in a different environment, come and try one of our hot desks.
Single desks can be booked for a full day (9am-4.30pm) or a half day (9am-1pm or 1pm-4.30pm)
Access to the kitchen is through Fisher, and there is a café table with 4 chairs for eating. Kettle, microwave and fridge are available to use.
