Volunteers

Lorraine joined ECF in 2017. She assists the grants team in processing applications and has a 'can do' attitude for any task we need help with.

Rae joined our Finance and Investments Committee as a co-opted member in 2015. As a Partner at Smith & Williamson he brings over 30 years’ experience in Investment Management specialising in managing multi asset portfolios. His client base includes charities, trusts and high net worth individuals.

Andrew joined the Foundation as a volunteer grants assessor in 2000 having taken early retirement following a long and successful career with Barclays Bank. He is a hugely valued member of the team, supporting all aspects of the Foundation’s work and has particular expertise in managing special projects and large capital grants.

Russell was a trustee from November 2016 - November 2020. He then stepped down and has been co-opted to the Finance and Investment Committee and the Audit and Risk Comittee, of which he is the chair. He is also a non-executive director of BlackRock World Mining Trust and Genesis Emerging Markets Fund.

Barbara has volunteered with ECF since 2005 and supports the Grants Team with application assessments and monitoring and evaluation. Barbara is a retired Chartered Accountant and brings a wealth of financial knowledge and experience to the team.
